What a life this boy lived, and what a great legacy he has left behind and will continue to leave since we have him in the tank. Henning made his rounds in the Southeastern U.S. where he was a great influence on many herds, leaving his mark. We obtained him in the summer 2022 and while his time with us was very short due to arthritis, a deep metabolic imbalance during rut and eventually a viral pneumonia, or hearts broke with such a great loss, a loss felt by all of his amazing and loving owners over his lifetime. I do not know a person who met or owned him that did not love him!

Thankfully before his passing he was able to be successfully collected a number of times with our vet and B&D Genetics. So his future use is well secured. Henning was a large and powerful buck, tall at the withers, a beautiful front end assembly, good rear angulation with a long and level rump, and such strong feet and legs especially given his age and all his heavy use over the years! He was impressive to put it mildly. We are eagerly awaiting his first kids to hit the ground and we have plans to use him in coming years via Trans-cervical and Laparoscopic insemination.

Henning was such an influence to the Lamancha breed, being an elite sire with multiple elite and excellent appraising offspring, his accolades continue. Henning is not just a memory or a long-gone buck to be referenced, his contributions are still happening here and the pain of his loss is still very real to us. Thank you Henning, for all that you have done and will continue to do for our beautiful earless wonders.
